After a bad night I like to start my day with some positivity. So, I was renewing my tag last week a lady saw it and said, "we need more like you". I wondered if she thought I was self-promoting, but I responded "thanks" and kept going. In actuality when I got this tag last year I was thinking what positive message could I display to inspire somebody else.
You see being a 'real dad' isn't about what teachers, baby-mamas, preachers, friends, etc.'s opinions about you are. It's about the impact, impression, and the mark you leave on or with your children. That's who you're being a real dad for right? Isn't it? I can't talk one on one to every man who deserves to hear it but I hope this message reaches you or my car tag inspires you to be who you know you should be. There are some little faces counting on you to do so (and some not so little ones too).
A lot of us men wish we got more love or had more support & encouragement from our dads, stepdads, & father-figures coming up. We KNOW a little more of that would not just have impacted our lives a lot differently, but the lives we interacted with also. So, remember that my brothers. I'm in your corner on this!
